Passion is a strong emotion that gives you a reason to live. It is a bridge that connects you to your vision and goals. It gives you satisfaction and perspective to live a life that you will never regret. It will help you keep going regardless of the challenges you face in your life. Not having passion in your life will make you dissatisfied in whatever you do so, life becomes boring and not so challenging.

Talking about finding a purpose in life, people from Okinawa, an island in Japan, have ikigai translating to “a reason for being”. It is a beautiful concept which translates to finding purpose in everything you do in your life that will lead you to live a long and happy life. Ikigai is found at the intersection of your passion, mission, profession, and vocation.

You need to ask yourselves these questions: what you love, what you are good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for to find your ikigai. Once you find your ikigai, practice to see the difference in you. Challenge yourself and do what you love just for a month. You will start seeing the change in yourself, feel more energized to do your work, and live a better life.
