How many pegs does it take to get you drunk? It only takes 3 PECs to live a successful and meaningful life. For us, human beings, the most important thing in our life is survival. Along with survival, we have our own purpose to live our dreams with goals and objectives to achieve. We are social animals and we need people around us to survive. Collaborating with people in an effective manner creates a happy environment for us to live.
Life is a journey in itself and here are 3P, 3E, and 3C that take our lives to the True North.
1. Passion, Patience, Perseverance
“Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.”
– Oprah Winfrey
Life is a journey with many ups and downs. Sometimes it is very hard to continue what you are doing and feel like stopping everything. But if you love what you are doing, then never give up. Just having passion is not enough though, you need to be patient and persistent to keep working until you achieve your dream life.
I think you know who Nelson Mandela is, right? He was the first black president of South Africa. Despite the domination of white people, he passionately persevered and became the first black president.
Also, you know who Cristiano Ronaldo or Messi is, right? They are the best players in football history. Do you think they became the best just like that? No, they had a passion for football, waited patiently for the opportunity and worked very hard to become who they are right now.
Likewise, if you have a passion to do something, do it even if there are risks. People with passion have a different aura and energy within them. Their motivation rises at peak to work hard day and night. They don’t overthink about their mistakes, rather they work even harder and learn from mistakes.
People with passion don’t stop at anything. They don’t expect to be successful in a day. They wait patiently and give their best until they reach their goals. They accept the fact that mistakes are part of life and give their 100 percent to learn from mistakes and never repeat the same mistakes.
Despite many difficulties, successful people keep fighting for their goals. They fail one time, two times, and sometimes they fail miserably. Rather than giving up, they persevere no matter how many times they fail. We need to have determination, commitment, and perseverance to achieve our dreams.
2. Energized, Effective, Empowered
The more you do the work you love, the more energized and excited you feel. You need to find what is meaningful in your life and it will energize you to do anything. There aren’t any shortcuts in life. You need dedication and hard work to find work that energizes you.
“Slow and steady wins the race”.
Being energized and jumping hastily into doing things also won’t bring the best results. Instead, you should relax, think over it, build a plan and work accordingly.
Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically and never stop. You should do it effectively that brings impactful results and motivates others to do the work passionately. Effectiveness is the most important factor that leads to success.
You will never be disappointed when you put your cent percent in your work. Giving the best from your side might not bring success every time but it will never cease your enthusiasm and happiness. Every moment will be a life lesson to empower you.
“Empower others to empower yourself.”
You should constantly strive to gain new knowledge, also you should share knowledge and help others learn too. It will eventually lead to expand and enhance your knowledge and skills. You need to make sure that your work generates value for others.
Along with sharing knowledge, you should also motivate others and make them empowered so that they can make their own decisions. Helping empower others promotes optimism and develops a positive vibe within them as well as in you. And you won’t be disappointed with the results after helping others. Ultimately, you get strength to take any challenges and get support from other people too.
3. Create, Connect, Compound
“Opportunities don’t happen, you create them.”
– Chris Grosse
Opportunities do come in life and some grab it while some fail to realize. Opportunities are always present so, you need to identify them and choose what benefits you as well as others. Developing a habit of taking on new opportunities and challenges will definitely make you successful one day.
Opportunities just does not pop-up, they are created. Be a creator, create what you can, create where you go and keep creating for it will help you grow.
“Each contact with a human being is so rare, so precious, one should preserve it”.
– Anais Nin
We are social beings and we cannot live alone by ourselves. We need people around us and the other way around, they need us to survive.
Have you ever thought about what would happen if you had to live alone for the rest of your life? Life would be miserable because we are not accustomed to living alone. From our birth, we had people around us and we will constantly need their support till our last breath.
Every connection is precious and it’s a fact that one cannot survive alone. Connection helps to make our life successful. Whenever we meet someone we love and respect, it automatically brings happiness and smiles on our faces.
No matter what, either we meet people accidentally or voluntarily, every connection has some impact and importance in our life. Such a connection helps to make our life better.
Also, you should be committed to your goals and objectives. You should take decisions on a regular basis and focus on small measurable tasks. This will become an effective routine and habit and eventually, will help to achieve your goals and objectives.
Breaking your goals and objectives into small measurable task will help to reach those goals and objectives as well as make your today better than yesterday and tomorrow better than today.
Play the compound game by being better 1% everyday. Eventually, the decisions you take, the passion you perceive, the patience you nurture, the connection you make, and the opportunities you get today, will bring you better results in the future. The results might not come immediately but will definitely influence you for good. So, small changes and choices you make daily will ultimately influence you and will work in your favor.
